Join us for a special day of talks at ACE Open to celebrate the opening weekend of Tarnanthi Festival 2021.

Uncle Mickey will lead a smoking ceremony a welcome.The day will be centred around a curator-led tour and expanded artist talks delivered by participating WATER RITES artists, Tamara Baillie, Mandy Quadrio and Lucien Alperstein, and conclude with a sound performance at 1:45pm by Constantine Stefanou.

Barngarla artists, Candace Swan-Taylor and Cailtin Swan-Taylor and linguist Ghil`ad Zuckermann will attend and share stories and experiences of their revived language, following the Artist Exchange that took place in June.

ACE tampinthi, ngadlu Kaurna yartangka panpapanpalyarninthi (inparrinthi). Kaurna miyurna yaitya mathanya Wama Tarntanyaku. Parnaku yailtya, parnaku tapa purruna, parnaku yarta ngadlu tampnthi. Yalaka Kaurna miyurna itu yailtya, tapa purruna, yarta kuma puru martinthi, puru warri-apinthi, puru tangka martulayinthi.

We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land. We acknowledge that they are of continuing importance to the Kaurna people living today.
