Islands are Mountains
Islands are Mountains is an exhibition and performance program of contemporary First Nations art exploring the multifaceted landscapes of collective memory.
17 October to 12 December 2025
Shape-shifting, time-travelling, body-based, non-linear: the trickster figures in this project weave First Nations worldviews into stories which offer fluid alternatives to rigid categories and outmoded narratives, proposing instead an embodied, experiential way of being and knowing the world.
